Skate Sesh in Seattle for the 4th

Eric and I cruised up to Seattle to visit the little T-bird, Greg. Never had been up there and it was amazing. To short of a trip but it was good to see GReg and see what the hell he has been up to since he moved up there. He lives in this kick ass studio and just does his thing. Went to the local Skatepark there and was amazing. here are just a couple of pics from that sesh and the trip. Greg is now hunting polar bears in Northern Alaska. Awesome!

Just picked this dvd the other day as well. So amazing. Gets you pumped on everything! Great interviews and detailed in info about bands and the scenes during the Thrash Metal days.  If byou have a chance to watch it do it, even if you are not a fan.

Recent Purchases

Just wanted to post these 2 new purchases I just made and am pretty amped on them. Actually really amped. Yesterday just bought an 84' pressing of Slayer's Haunting the Chapel. An EP released with three songs on it, Chemical Warfare, Captor of Sin and Haunting the Chapel. Even though it was just three songs, this album, which was released after their debut album, Show No Mercy, was considered a huge stepping stone to their iconic sound today. The graphics of this album are so amazingly dark, yet so simple as compared to other album artwork such as Hell Awaits and South of Heaven. Funny note about the recording of this album is that sound engineer Bill Motoyer who was a Christian, (who also was there for Show No Mercy and no problem with that album) told another guy on the sound board that he thougt he was going to go to hell after hearing the first lines out of Tom Arayas mouth during the song Haunting the Chapel.

All and all very excited to have this piece listened to and then up on my wall.

I got this puppy about a couple weeks ago and is pretty much my favorite shirt to wear at the moment. It is an original from 1987 (with the copyright and all on the bottom right) and is paper thin. On the back is the listing of the songs from the album. Straight to the point, the listing of some of Metallica's greatest songs from one of the greatest albums, Master of Puppets.

Here is a Classic! Straight from 85 world tour and I think just about every Metal Head's favorite shirt. This I found starting at $200.00 but pretty high for the shitty quality it is in. Such an amazing graphic!

MY LOVE of a Good Fade

So one of my favorite hobbies of mine is collecting vintage original heavy metal shirts. I have a good collection of about 15 shirts as of now, but it needs to get bigger and better. Part of the whole fun is hunting for these beasts on ebay and around town, but since I work so much, ebay is a lot easier and a little more entertaining with bid wars and such. 

Anyhow, I thought it would be fun for my fellow readers, if there is such a thing, to post up amazing shirts I find and share them with you. I do not own these shirts unless stated. I'll try to do it each day, but we will see.

I found this Sweet Iron Maiden Shirt from 87 on ebay today. Super Rare and fucking awesome. Wish I could afford it. Starting at $1,000.00. SHIT!
